| Advantages | 1) The yield strength is more than twice as high as ordinary austenitic stainless steel, and has the need for molding Enough plastic toughness. The wall thickness of storage tanks or pressure vessels manufactured with dual-phase stainless steel can be reduced by 30-50% compared with commonly used austenite, which is beneficial to reduce costs. 2) Has excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance, even the lowest alloy content of duplex stainless steel has a higher stress corrosion cracking resistance than austenitic stainless steel, especially in the chloride ion containing environment. Stress corrosion is an outstanding problem which is difficult to be solved in ordinary austenitic stainless steel. 3) In many media application of the most common 2205 duplex stainless steel corrosion resistance is better than ordinary 316L austenitic stainless steel, and super duplex stainless steel has very high corrosion resistance, and some media, such as acetic acid, formic acid can even replace high alloy austenitic stainless steel, and corrosion resistant alloy. 4) Has good local corrosion resistance, compared with the equivalent alloy content of austenitic stainless steel, its wear corrosion and fatigue corrosion performance is better than the austenitic stainless steel. |
